Mother and Child Hurt after Car Slams into Oakley Taco Bell on Main Street

 
OAKLEY, CA (November 18, 2021) — A mother and her daughter are hospitalized after a car crashes into a fast-food restaurant on Main Street at Big Break Road Tuesday night.
 
According to Oakley Police, the incident happened at the Raley’s Plaza on Main Street. For unknown reasons, a driver in a Lexus sedan drove erratically in the parking lot at speeds of possibly 50 mph. Subsequently, the Lexus accelerated up the curb without braking and struck a pillar at the Taco Bell entrance.
 
In the mayhem, a 30-year-old woman and her 3-year-old daughter suffered unknown injuries. Soon after, paramedics brought them to John Muir Medical Center and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.
 
At this time, officers have not released information as to what led to the accident or the condition of the driver. However, any witnesses with information should contact the authorities.
