Bicyclist Suffers Serious Injuries after Hit by Car on 223rd Street in Torrance

 
TORRANCE, CA (October 19, 2021) – A man suffered serious injuries in a bicycle accident on 223rd Street at Vermont Avenue in Torrance Thursday morning.
 
The accident happened around 9:00 a.m. on October 14, just near Harbor (110) Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was riding a bicycle in the area when a car struck him.
 
Responding paramedics rushed the man to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he was treated for major injuries.
 
Authorities were seeking the public’s help to identify the victim. They said he was brought to the hospital without documentation or evidence of his identity. They described the man as possibly Asian, between 50 and 60 years old, 5 feet 3 inches tall and 150 pounds with a muscular build. He has short dark brown hair that is graying and may be balding in the front.
 
It is unclear if the involved driver has stayed on scene after the crash.
