Leny Gaitan Struck Dead in Pedestrian Crash on Whitewood Road near Somers Road

 
MURRIETA, CA (February 29, 2024) — Leny Gaitan died in a pedestrian accident on Whitewood Road near Somers Road.
 
According to the Murrieta Police Department, the fatal accident happened around 7:29 p.m. Monday. Under unclear circumstances, Leny Palma Gaitan walked into the southbound lanes outside a marked crosswalk. Subsequently, a vehicle moving at an unknown speed struck him, along with two additional cars shortly after that.
 
Soon after, paramedics and officers arrived to find the Murrieta man on the road and all involved drivers pulled over to the side. Due to his grave condition, paramedics took Gaitan to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, where he passed away.
