14-Year-Old Lawrence Andrews Dies in Apple Valley Hit-and-Run Crash

 
APPLE VALLEY, CA (October 25, 2021) – Lawrence A. Andrews died in a hit-and-run crash in Apple Valley on Tuesday, October 19.
 
The fatal crash happened around 8:10 p.m. on a stretch of Ottawa Road between Navajo Road and Manhasset Road. Authorities said Andrews, his step-mother and her two younger children began crossing the street when a car traveled at high speed in their direction.
 
The car struck Lawrence, causing him fatal injuries where he died at the scene. He was a 14-year-old Apple Valley resident.
 
A family member has set up a GoFundMe page to help Andrews’ funeral expenses.
 
Investigators believed the suspect vehicle to be a Nissan 350Z or an Infiniti G35. The vehicle is reported to have tinted windows and extensive front-end damage. They ask that anyone with information about the case come forward.
