Wrong-Way Driver Involved in Head-On Accident on Highway 280 in San Francisco

 
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (September 7, 2021) – A wrong-way driver reportedly caused a head-on accident on Highway 280, late Saturday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on September 4, at about 11:31 p.m. Officers found two damaged vehicles near the off-ramp for Ocean Avenue and Geneva Avenue.
 
Investigators believe that a wrong-way driver was involved in the collision. They also located other vehicles that may have also collided during the incident.
 
As per reports, all occupants were found conscious by the San Francisco Fire Department. However, officers did not confirm whether the occupants sustained injuries in the accident.
 
Investigators temporarily closed all northbound lanes for at least an hour to make way for clearing operations.
 
CHP continues to investigate the crash.
