Hit-and-Run Crash on East Washington Street in Petaluma Leads to Juvenile DUI Arrest

 
PETALUMA, CA (April 11, 2023) – A juvenile was arrested for DUI after a hit-and-run crash at East Washington Street and South McDowell Boulevard early Friday morning.
 
The crash happened just after 1:00 a.m. on April 7. According to the Petaluma Police Department, a witness reported a blue pickup truck that had fled the scene after a crash.
 
The pickup traveled toward Kenilworth Drive and drove through East Washington Plaza shopping center. It then traveled toward Lindberg Lane and turned into the Gateway Shopping Center to park.
 
Officers located the vehicle and detained two juvenile occupants, 15 and 16-years-old. They also located bottles of alcohol and marijuana after searching the vehicle.
 
Police arrested the juvenile driver after determining that he was under the influence.
 
No other information was available. An investigation is underway.
