Jose Jimenez Dead in Big Rig Crash on Robben Road and Vaughn Road

 
DIXON, CA (October 12, 2022) — A 34-year-old Woodland man identified as Jose Jimenez died in a big rig crash on Monday, October 10.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 7:00 a.m. near the intersection of Robben Road and Vaughn Road0.
 
Officer Jason Tyhurst, a spokesman for CHP-Solano, said CHP officers rushed to a crash scene at 6:56 a.m. Monday. The incident involved a semitractor-trailer and a Chevrolet sedan.
 
Tyhurst said the initial investigation determined the Chevrolet driver moved westbound on Vaughn Road. At the same time, the driver of the big rig moved southbound on Robben Road.
 
The driver of the big rig was unable to stop on time and broadsided the Chevrolet. The force of the collision pushed the Chevrolet through the intersection and rolled over in an orchard.
 
Jimenez sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the semitractor-trailer was not hurt.
