SANTA ANA, CA (December 8, 2021) — Jose Guzman was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Standard Avenue near Edinger Avenue on November 28.
 
According to Santa Ana Police, the hit-and-run happened on Sunday. Under unclear circumstances, a vehicle described as a dark-colored pickup struck Guzman and fled northbound on Standard Avenue. As a result of the accident, Guzman suffered minor injuries, and his motorized wheelchair was damaged beyond repair.
 
Since the accident, Guzman has not been able to leave his home. However, thanks to Good Samaritans and the co-owner of Diversified Wholesale, Guzman was able to get back on a new wheelchair.
