14-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle in Rialto

 
RIALTO, CA (June 28, 2023) – Jordyn Hicks was killed in pedestrian accident in Rialto Sunday evening on June 25.
 
The fatal accident happened around 9:00 p.m. at Riverside Avenue and Walnut Avenue. According to the Rialto Police Department, the 14-year-old victim from Rialto was struck by a vehicle while walking at the intersection.
 
First responders rushed the teenager to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with significant injuries.
 
Despite life-saving efforts at the hospital, Hicks did not survive and was declared dead at 9:28 p.m.
 
Police is still investigating the fatality.
