52-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle on Highway 180 at Highway 41

 
FRESNO, CA (September 23, 2024) – John Amador was hit and killed by a vehicle in Fresno Thursday morning on September 19.
 
The fatal crash happened around 10:45 a.m. on Highway 180 at Highway 41. According to the CHP, Amador ran across the highway when he was struck by a passing vehicle.
 
The man driving the car around the curve of the transition did not have time to stop when he saw the pedestrian in the middle of the road.
 
Amador suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 52-year-old Fresno resident, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
 
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Alcohol and drugs were not considered a factor in the crash.
