Jamie Fernandez Hurt, Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash on Mono Way at Highway 108

 
TUOLUMNE COUNTY, CA (January 12, 2022)Jamie Fernandez suffered minor injuries in a fatal motorcycle accident on Mono Way at Highway 108 on Monday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcycle crash happened around 4:36 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a 66-year-old motorcyclist collided with a Jeep, driven by 40-year-old Fernandez.
 
Per the investigation, both vehicles entered the intersection. However, one of them failed to stop for a red traffic signal as the motorcyclist attempted to make a left turn onto Highway 108.
 
Shortly after, paramedics brought the injured motorcyclist to a hospital where he died. Meanwhile, Fernandez sustained minor wounds in the accident.
 
At this time, officers have ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors in the crash. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm more details.
