Issac Linares Killed, Seven Injured in Car Crash on Cactus Avenue [Moreno Valley, CA]

17-Year-Old Issac Linares Dead, Seven Hurt in Car Accident on Cactus Avenue and Moreno Beach Drive

 
MORENO VALLEY, CA (October 4, 2022) — A man identified as 17-year-old Issac Linares, of Moreno Valley, died in a crash on Sunday, October 2.
 
According to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the two-car crash happened at 3:16 p.m. on Moreno Beach Drive and Cactus Avenue
 
Reports said a gray 2001 Lexus IS300 traveled north on Moreno Beach Drive. At the same time, a white 2020 Honda Odyssey headed east on Cactus Avenue.
 
The Honda then entered the intersection on a green traffic signal. However, the Lexus continued into the intersection against a red signal. Afterward, the Honda broadsided the Lexus. Then the Lexus collided with a metal traffic signal pole at the northeast corner of the intersection.
 
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said Linares who drove the Lexus died at the scene. His passenger, who officials only identified as an underaged girl, was rushed to a hospital with major injuries.
 
The Honda’s six occupants suffered minor injuries. Medics also rushed them all to a hospital for treatment.
