Gregory Zachreson Dead, Bradley Jones Detained, Timothy Laubach, Andrew Pick Among Hurt in DUI Multi-Car Crash on Highway 29 near Argonaut Road

LAKE COUNTY, CA (January 13, 2023) Gregory Zachreson died in a DUI multi-car accident on Highway 29 near Argonaut Road Monday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol Clear Lake Area Office, the multi-vehicle crash happened around 10:46 a.m. during cloudy and wet weather conditions.

For DUI reasons, 20-year-old Bradley C. Jones, of Lakeport, allowed his southbound 1999 Chrysler Concorde to veer over the solid double yellow lines and into the northbound lane. Subsequently, Jones’ Chrysler struck a northbound 2021 Honda Passport, driven by 67-year-old Gary D. Moore at the Argonaut Road intersection.

Subsequently, the Chrysler continued south and struck a northbound 2001 Ford Focus head-on, driven by 31-year-old Timothy M. Laubach, before it collided with a northbound 2008 Mercedes C300, driven by 26-year-old Andrew T. Pick.

Tragically, 58-year-old Gregory J. Zachreson — a passenger riding with Laubach — passed away at the scene. Meanwhile, responding paramedics transported Laubach and Jones to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment of major injuries.

Pick and his 22-year-old passenger, Isis E. Martinez of Lakeport, reported cuts and confusion while Moore had no injuries.

Following an investigation, police determined that DUI played a role and arrested Jones. However, the CHP remains active in this investigation. Therefore, if anyone has more to add, please reach out to the CHP.
