SONOMA, CA (June 29, 2021) — Gilberto Suasteguijaimes and Ruci Salato suffered minor injuries in a hit-and-run Lyft accident on Highway 12 near Irwin Lane.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the high-speed accident happened around 10:45 p.m. For unknown reasons, a gray Acura sedan rear-ended a westbound 2021 Toyota Prius traveling about 50 miles per hour.
 
As a result, the 43-year-old Lyft driver, Suasteguijaimes, and his 30-year-old passenger, Salato, sustained minor injuries. However, the Acura driver left the scene before officers could respond in time.
