52-Year-Old George Lammon Struck, Killed by Vehicle on North Sunrise Way in Palm Springs

 
PALM SPRINGS, CA (May 23, 2022)George Edward Lammon was killed in a pedestrian accident in Palm Springs, early Sunday morning on May 22.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:12 a.m. in the 800 block of North Sunrise Way, just south of Tamarisk Road. According to the Riverside County Fire Department, Lammon was walking in the area when a vehicle struck him.
 
Lammon, a 52-year-old Palm Springs resident, died at the scene, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.
 
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene. He told investigators he was heading south on North Sunrise when he spotted Lammon but was unable to avoid the collision.
 
Neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected to be a factor in the crash. Authorities urged witnesses to contact the PSPD Traffic Division at 760-323-8125. Anonymous information can also be provided to Crime Stoppers at 760-347-7867.
