Genaro Mendiola Dies in Highway 99 Accident near Shanks Road

 
DELHI, CA (October 18, 2021) — Genaro Mendiola died in a Highway 99 accident near Shanks Road early Sunday morning, deputies confirmed.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal single-car crash happened around 1:25 a.m. For unknown reasons, 21-year-old Genaro Uvalle Mendiola drove his southbound 2012 Dodge Ram into the center median where it crashed into an AK rail.
 
As a result, Mendiola was ejected from his vehicle and landed on the northbound side.
 
Shortly after, several drivers ran over him but pulled over after. Following the crash, authorities arrived and interviewed the drivers and pronounced Mendiola dead at the scene.
