Coroner Identifies Man Killed in Train Accident in Banning

 
BANNING, CA (October 18, 2021) – Juan Carlos Montano died in a train accident in Banning on Saturday midnight.
 
The fatal accident happened on October 16, near Highland Springs just south of 10 Freeway. According to the Banning Police Department, the train struck Montano in unknown circumstances.
 
First responders pronounced Montano dead at the scene. He was a 58-year-old Beaumont resident, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.
 
Police said the passengers in the train did not sustain injuries from the crash.
 
An investigation is underway.
