Deadly Hayward Hit-and-Run Crash on 880 Freeway

 
HAYWARD, CA (July 30, 2021) — A fatal hit-and-run accident on the 880 Freeway near Winton Avenue left two lanes closed Friday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 3:00 a.m. Under unknown circumstances, a hit-and-run crash occurred involving at least one vehicle.
 
Reports left no information on the details of the crash. However, police confirmed at least one fatality.
 
At this time, authorities plan to investigate this case more closely. Therefore, if any witnesses would like to help the authorities with this crash, please contact the CHP.
