Family Hit in Stolen SUV Crash on Delno Street and Indianapolis Street

 
FRESNO, CA (December 26, 2022) — A stolen SUV accident on Delno Street led to the arrest of three teens on Friday, December 23.
 
The accident occurred at around 2:50 p.m. at Delno Street and Indianapolis Street in the Fig Garden area of Fresno.
 
A short time earlier in the day, a Fresno Police Officer noticed the SUV in south Fresno and asked its driver to pull over. However, the vehicle took off and officers began chasing it due to dangerous driving and high speeds.
 
Another officer in Central Fresno saw the suspect vehicle and called in a helicopter to follow it. The driver sped around the streets of Fresno with no officers behind them.
 
The vehicle then crashed and hit a family who had just left their home to deliver a Christmas present.
 
The mother said that the kids ran from the Dodge. Then they tried to get a ride from another driver. However, Fresno Police arrested them before they could get away.
 
Officers described the arrested suspects as minors all under 18 years old.
