Erik Duran Hit, Killed, Mikel McNack Detained in Homicide near Descanso Drive and First Street

 
SAN JOSE, CA (January 15, 2024) — Erik Duran was run over and killed in a homicide near Descanso Drive and First Street.
 
According to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Coroner, Erik Duran was killed on January 10 around 5:47 p.m. Under unknown circumstances, he and a suspect engaged in some type of dispute that had gone awry. Subsequently, the suspect ran over Duran and fled the scene. Soon after, San Jose police officers responded to find the 25-year-old with fatal injuries, including gunshot wounds.
 
Following an investigation, detectives identified 19-year-old Mikel McNack, of Fremont, as the homicide suspect. Authorities arrested and booked him into a Santa Clara County Jail.
 
At this time, authorities need the public’s help in looking for the vehicle involved — a gray 2017 Infiniti QX30 SUV with a California license plate of 8TQV123.
