Edwin Osorio Killed in Bicycle Accident on Willard Parkway [Elk Grove, CA]

Bicyclist Fatally Struck by Truck Willard Parkway and Blossom Ridge Drive

 
ELK GROVE, CA (April 25, 2021) – Edwin Osorio died in a bicycle accident Wednesday afternoon last week in Elk Grove.
 
The accident happened around 3:47 p.m. on April 14 at the intersection of Willard Parkway and Blossom Ridge Drive. According to the Elk Grove Police Department, the 31-year-old man was driving a motorized bicycle westbound along Blossom Ridge Drive. At the same time, a truck was heading northbound along Willard Parkway.
 
Osorio ran a red light and entered the intersection where he collided into the truck. He suffered severe injuries from the impact and died at the hospital.
 
The driver of the truck remained at the accident scene and was cooperating with the police.
 
Neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be a factor. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
