Driver Fatally Injured in Solo-Vehicle Crash on Highway 78 near East Barham Drive

 
SAN MARCOS, CA (December 13, 2022) — A motorist died in a solo-vehicle accident on Highway 78 on Monday, December 12.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened just after 11 a.m. on the eastbound side of Highway 78, near East Barham Drive.
 
The driver ended up pinned in the wrecked vehicle after the crash. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene, the CHP said.
 
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim pending notification of loved ones.
 
There are no reports if alcohol, drugs, or speed contributed to the incident.
