Alameda County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Ziller Arrested after Livermore DUI Crash

 
LIVERMORE, CA (November 27, 2022) – Authorities arrested an Alameda County sheriff’s deputy following a DUI accident on Highway 580, Thursday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on November 10, at about 6:40 p.m. A Ford F-450 truck reportedly hit the rear of another vehicle near the Vasco Road exit.
 
Emergency crews transported the Ford driver, identified as Deputy Michael Ziller, to Eden Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
 
As per reports, Ziller is considered on duty at the time of the collision. The deputy is now being charged with a DUI.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
