NEWPORT BEACH, CA (March 14, 2022) — Debora Dolly was hurt in a stolen boat crash near Lido Isle in Newport Harbor on Thursday.
 
According to Newport Beach police, the incident happened around 10:10 a.m. in Newport Harbor. For unknown reasons, 38-year-old Joel Siam stole a yacht and began steering it recklessly across the harbor before it collided with at least two other boats.
 
Subsequently, the 60-foot yacht reversed, did several donuts in the harbor and took off after nearly pulling off the entire dock.
 
Not long after, authorities responded and arrested the Yacht broker from San Diego.
 
During the incident, Dolly, whose sailboat was hit by the stolen yacht, struck her head. However, reports indicated that she will be okay.
 
At this time, the primary cause of the incident remains unclear. However, authorities plan to investigate this case further.
