15-Year-Old Passenger Killed in Street-Racing Accident on Hillside Boulevard [South San Francisco, CA]

Street-Racing Crash on Hillside Boulevard Kills Teen Passenger, Police Arrest 1 Driver

 
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 14, 2022) – A 15-year-old passenger died in a street-racing accident on Hillside Boulevard in South San Francisco on Tuesday evening.
 
The accident happened around 8:00 p.m. on March 8. According to the San Francisco Police Department, two vehicles were racing each other westbound when one of them lost control and hit a wall and a tree in the 1200 block of Hillside Boulevard.
 
As a result, the teen passenger in one of the vehicles suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
A second adult passenger sustained major injuries.
 
The identities of the victims were not immediately available.
 
Police arrested one of the drivers and booked them into San Mateo County jail on a charge of vehicular manslaughter with negligence.
 
This fatal crash remains under investigation. Authorities asked anyone with further information to call South San Francisco police at 650-877-8900.
