Dakota Stafslien Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Highway 101 near Highway 271

 
PIERCY, CA (May 6, 2024) — Dakota Stafslien died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Highway 101 near Highway 271.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal hit-and-run happened on May 4 around 2:45 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver of an unknown vehicle struck 28-year-old Stafslien on Highway 101 North. Subsequently, the driver seemed to have fled the scene heading in an unknown direction.
 
Sometime later, Garberville California Highway Patrol officers arrived and found the 28-year-old female lying on the highway. Authorities later identified her as Stafslien, a resident from the Garberville and Redway area.
