SALINAS, CA (August 7, 2023) — Children were among several people injured in a head-on accident on Natividad Road near Rogge Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-car crash happened around 4:20 p.m. Friday. For unknown reasons, an Acura crashed into another vehicle. In total, roughly six people, including one adult and four children in the Acura, suffered a range of injuries. Of the children injured, a 7-year-old old is believed to be the youngest.
 
Minutes after the crash, paramedics responded to the scene and airlifted at least one child to Santa Clara for treatment. The adult drivers suffered minor to moderate injuries and received care at Natividad Medical Center.
 
Authorities did not say what led to the accident, only ruling out DUI as a possible factor. However, a follow-up investigation should reveal the liabilities.
