Hit-and-Driver Driver Strikes and Injures Child on Bicycle on Snyder Lane

 
ROHNERT PARK, CA (October 10, 2022) – A child was injured in a bicycle hit-and-run crash on Snyder Lane in the Rohnert Park area on Wednesday morning, October 5.
 
Around 8:05 p.m., a red vehicle pulling out of a parking lot at Lawrence E. Jones Middle School struck the child riding a bike across the street.
 
Witnesses told officers the driver initially stopped to speak with the child she had just hit, but then fled the scene without identifying herself and before emergency responders arrived.
 
First responders treated the child with minor injuries.
 
Alcohol or drugs do not appear to have been a factor. Authorities are still investigating the crash. They urged anyone with further information to contact the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety at (707) 584-2600.
