Two Cars Collide on Highway 108 in Long Barn Seriously Injuring 1 Passenger, DUI Suspect Arrested

 
LONG BARN, CA (April 15, 2023)Bradley Beach was seriously injured in a DUI crash in Long Barn Thursday on April 13.
 
The crash happened on Highway 108, just east of Bald Mountain Heliport Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, 27-year-old Kenneth Fisher of Sonora was driving a 2018 Nissan Maxima westbound on the highway at about 50 mph. For unknown reasons, he allowed the car to drift into oncoming traffic and collided with a 2017 Subaru Outback that was traveling eastbound at 45 mph.
 
Beach, a 35-year-old La Grange resident, was a passenger in Fisher’s car and was flown to Memorial Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
 
Fisher and the driver of the Subaru, 28-year-old Lindsay Cornwell of Pinecrest, sustained minor injuries.
 
Offices later determined that Fisher was driving under the influence and arrested him.
 
A search discovered that Fisher had drugs on him, but it was unclear what type or how much he had. He was in possession of a controlled substance.
 
An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
