Woman on Bicycle Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver near Blossom Hill Road in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (March 27, 2023) – A bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash near Blossom Hill Road and Leigh Avenue in San Jose on Sunday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened just before 6:50 p.m. on March 26. According to a San Jose Police Department, a woman was riding her bicycle when a vehicle struck her.
 
San Jose Fire Department crews responded and found the woman suffering from severe injuries. Despite life-saving measures, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Additional details about the crash, including a description of the vehicle, were not immediately available. Further investigation is underway.
