SUV Hits Pedestrians on King Road in San Jose Killing 1 and Injuring 2 Others

 
SAN JOSE, CA (July 20, 2023) – A baby girl died and two others were injured in a pedestrian accident on King Road in San Jose late Tuesday evening on July 18.
 
The fatal accident happened around 11:40 p.m. near Ocala Avenue. According to the San Jose Police Department, a man was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe and entered the intersection on a green light. He then struck a woman and her two daughters that were crossing the street.
 
One of the girls, an infant, died at the scene.
 
Paramedics took the woman and her other child to a hospital with serious injuries. Both were listed in stable condition as of Wednesday morning.
 
The SUV driver stopped and cooperated with police. He was not arrested or cited, or suspected of driving impaired.
