Bicyclist Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Stockton
STOCKTON, CA (July 20, 2023) – Joaquin Carrasco Jr. was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Stockton Tuesday evening on July 18.
The fatal crash happened around 10:14 p.m. near the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Yokuts Avenue. According to the Stockton Police Department, Carrasco was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a vehicle.
After the crash, the involved vehicle fled the scene.
First responders found Carrasco lying in the roadway and was unresponsive. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
Carrasco was a 64-year-old Stockton resident.
Investigators are asking witnesses to come forward with information by calling 209-937-8377.
Stockton Crime Stoppers is offering anonymity and a reward of up to $10,000 for information reported to 209-946-0600.
