PETALUMA, CA (February 2, 2024) — At least one person died in a 2-car accident at Lakeville Highway and Pine View Way.
 
According to Petaluma Police, the deadly accident happened around 12:30 p.m. Thursday. For an unknown reason, a black BMW and a sedan crashed, sending one vehicle off the road and into a field.
 
Subsequently, the California Highway Patrol responded to the investigation. Due to the severity of the crash, authorities closed Lakeville Highway to canvas the area for clues.
 
At the time of the report, police did not say what caused the crash, but an investigation should reveal more details.
