Jotham Gant Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Shady Canyon Drive near Quail Hill Parkway
IRVINE, CA (February 2, 2024) — Jotham Gant died in a motorcycle accident on Shady Canyon Drive near Quail Hill Parkway.
According to the Irvine Police Department, the deadly motorcycle crash happened around 2:21 a.m. Thursday. Under unclear circumstances, an unidentified 20-year-old driver lost control of a southbound Yamaha and struck a roundabout. As a result, 23-year-old Jotham Daniel Gant, of Irvine, who was riding on the Yamaha motorcycle suffered serious wounds.
Soon after, paramedics arrived and found both men without a protective helmet. Due to his critical state, medics ushered the driver to a hospital. However, Gant, of Irvine — the passenger — passed away at the scene.
