Amaya Chenot Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident on Friant Road [Fresno, CA]

Tow Trucks Runs Red Light in Fresno and Slams into Car Killing 22-Year-Old Woman

 
FRESNO, CA (April 14, 2023) – Amaya Chenot was killed in a two-vehicle accident in northeast Fresno early Wednesday morning on April 12.
 
The fatal accident happened around 12:30 a.m. at Friant Road and Shepherd Avenue. According to the Fresno Police Department, a tow truck driver allegedly ran a red light and collided into a sedan driven by Chenot.
 
As a result, Chenot was pinned inside the sedan and died at the scene. She was a 22-year-old Fresno resident.
 
The tow truck driver did not suffer any injuries in the crash.
 
Charges have not been filed against the tow truck driver at this time. An investigation is underway.
