Alexia Rodriguez Charged, 3 Killed in Fiery DUI Crash on 215 Freeway near 15 Freeway

 
MURRIETA, CA (January 17, 2023)Alexia Rodriguez was arrested, and three people were killed in a fiery DUI accident on the 215 Freeway near the 15 Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly single-car accident happened around 4:00 a.m. Monday. For DUI-related reasons, 21-year-old Rodriguez lost control of her 2008 Dodge Charger on the southbound 215 Freeway at the 15 Freeway connector. Traveling at an unknown speed, the Dodge veered off the road and struck a metal pole. Subsequently, the car caught on fire, but Rodriguez was able to escape before the fire spread.
 
A man and a woman not wearing their seatbelts were ejected from the vehicle, and a 15-year-old El Cajon girl died inside the Dodge. Authorities confirmed these three fatalities at the scene. However, they have not released their names.
 
Officers brought Rodriguez to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar for treatment before airlifting her to Arrowhead Regional Burn Center. Following an investigation, authorities arrested her for felony gross vehicular manslaughter and felony DUI.
 
At this time, an investigation remains. If anyone has more information on this fatal crash, please call the CHP.
