Adriana Verdugo Dead, Felicia Rodriguez Detained in DUI Pedestrian Accident

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (February 3, 2022) — 24-year-old Adriana Verdugo of Victorville died in a DUI pedestrian accident on Mariposa Road near Locust Avenue.
 
According to a sheriff’s news release, the fatal hit-and-run happened on Wednesday around 2:04 a.m. For possible DUI-related reasons, 31-year-old Felicia Rodriguez struck Verdugo in the northbound lanes of Mariposa Road.
 
Subsequently, Rodriguez left the crash, which took place near Totem Pole Mobile Home Park.
 
Shortly after, emergency personnel responded to the scene and pronounced Verdugo dead.
 
Three hours later, officers arrested Rodriguez. However, police state that she turned herself in. At this time, she remains incarcerated at the High Desert Detention Center on charges, including hit-and-run causing death and gross vehicular manslaughter while impaired.
 
However, an investigation is ongoing.
