Hit-and-Run Driver Intentionally Strikes Pedestrian Outside Church on Grove Way Leaving Her with Injuries

CASTRO VALLEY, CA (February 15, 2023) – A 77-year-old woman was injured in a hit-and-run crash on Grove Way in Castro Valley Saturday evening.

According to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, a driver of an unknown vehicle intentionally struck the woman in the parking lot of First Presbyterian Church around 7:25 p.m.

Investigators said the woman yelled at the driver after his vehicle brushed against her. The driver then yelled back at the woman, struck her a second time and drove away.

The woman fell onto the hood of the vehicle and then to the ground. Paramedics took her to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
