53-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle in Barstow

 
BARSTOW, CA (February 15, 2023) – Luis Rivera was killed in pedestrian accident in Barstow Thursday night on February 9.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:59 p.m. at Lenwood Road and Tortoise Road. According to the Barstow Police Department, Rivera was walking in the area when a vehicle struck him.
 
First responders found him lying in the roadway with significant injuries. They rushed him to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
 
Rivera was 53 years old from Hawthorne, authorities said.
 
The circumstances of this fatality remain under investigation.
