65-Year-Old Gail McNeil Dies in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash near Crenshaw Boulevard and Homeland Drive

 
LEIMERT PARK, CA (March 4, 2024) Gail McNeil died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident near Crenshaw Boulevard and Homeland Drive.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner, 65-year-old Gail Regina McNeil died in the Thursday night crash. Under unclear circumstances, an unidentified motorist struck the Los Angeles woman around 10:30 p.m. Soon after, officers arrived at the scene to find her lying in the road.
 
Due to the accident, she passed away from her injuries.
 
Authorities believe that a tan-colored sedan heading southbound on Crenshaw Boulevard struck her. The car possibly drove southbound on Victoria Avenue from Vernon Avenue after the impact. If anyone can help traffic investigators identify the driver, they may receive a reward of up to $50,000 from the city of Los Angeles.
