Ariel Bridgeman Struck, Killed by Driver on 15 Freeway near Rainbow Canyon Road

 
TEMECULA, CA (March 4, 2024)Ariel Bridgeman died after being hit by a car on the 15 Freeway near Rainbow Canyon Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened around 5:00 a.m. Friday. For an unknown reason, 23-year-old Bridgeman lost control of her 2021 Honda Accord. Subsequently, her northbound Honda drifted to the right shoulder and struck a freeway’s chain link fence and a hillside embankment. From there, her vehicle spun back onto the northbound lanes and stopped, straddling the No. 2 and 3 lanes.
 
Moments after, a 38-year-old man driving a 2017 Honda Civic was unable to stop in time and struck Bridgeman, who reportedly exited her car before the impact. Riverside County Fire Department paramedics reached the scene minutes later and found her with fatal injuries. The Oceanside man driving the Civic stayed at the scene, where authorities ruled out impairment as a possible factor in the accident.
 
According to reports, three minor collisions occurred after the initial accident, but neither resulted in injuries.
