5 People Hurt in Car Crash at E Street Off-Ramp

 
CHULA VISTA, CA (January 25, 2022) — Five people were injured in a car accident at the E Street Off-Ramp and the 5 Freeway on Saturday.
 
According to reports, the car accident happened on the E Street off-ramp from the southbound freeway. Under unclear circumstances, a driver of a pickup truck collided with a Chrysler 300 occupied by a family of four.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded and transported the male driver of the pickup to a hospital. Meanwhile, paramedics brought two children in the Chrysler to Rady’s Children Hospital with unknown injuries, the mom to a hospital with serious injuries and the father to another hospital with minor injuries.
 
At this time, California Highway Patrol officers have not confirmed if DUI played a factor. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm the details.
