5 Hurt, Driver Crashes Into Fast Food Restaurant on Airline Highway in Hollister

 
HOLLISTER, CA (August 21, 2023) — Five people were injured after a car crashed into a McDonald’s fast-food restaurant on Airline Highway near Plaza Drive.
 
According to Hollister police, the car crash happened around 12:37 p.m. Thursday. For unknown reasons, a driver thought he had parked in a mobile pick-up parking spot until the car kept moving. Subsequently, the vehicle crashed into the McDonald’s fast-food restaurant with three people inside.
 
Moments later, paramedics arrived and examined the three restaurant goers and two people in the vehicle for non-life-threatening injuries.
 
All patients were able to go home and seek medical attention on their own.
 
Following an investigation, Hollister police officers did not conduct an arrest or citation. Neither alcohol nor drugs were believed to be a factor in the accident.
