SHASTA COUNTY, CA (February 23, 2024) — Four people suffered serious injuries in a single-car accident off Highway 299 and JF Kennedy Memorial Drive.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-car crash happened Wednesday evening. For an unknown reason, a Ford F-150 moving at fluctuating speeds on eastbound Highway 299 veered off the road. Subsequently, the driver overcorrected, causing the car to drive down a steep embankment and crash.
 
Moments later, the CHP and paramedics arrived and found four people with severe injuries, later taking them to a hospital.
