RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (February 23, 2024) — One person was injured in a hit-and-run two-car accident on Highway 50 near Hazel Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday. Under unclear circumstances, the two cars collided on the eastbound highway west of Hazel Avenue. As a result, a large amount of debris littered the road and forced a closure until 4:00 a.m.
 
Following the collision, paramedics responded and took one person to UC Davis Medical Center. However, the other driver was unaccounted for.
