3 Hospitalized in Multi-Car Crash on Highway 50 in Folsom

 
FOLSOM, CA (May 10, 2023) — Three people were injured in a multi-car accident on Highway 50 near Prairie City Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle accident happened around 8:00 a.m. Tuesday. Under unclear circumstances, four cars crashed, including one that was rear-ended and sent down a dirt embankment. Three people suffered minor injuries in the crash, which left morning commuters on westbound Highway 50 facing bumper-to-bumper traffic.
 
Authorities did not say that alcohol played a factor in the accident, but an investigation into the crash should confirm how the collision happened.
