Kevin Suchoza, Yolanda Suchoza Injured, Nichalas Hill Detained in DUI Crash on Higuera Street near Clover Ridge Lane

 
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (May 10, 2023) — Kevin Suchoza and Yolanda Suchoza reported injuries in a DUI accident on Higuera Street near Clover Ridge Lane.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle collision happened around 9:00 p.m. Monday. For DUI-related reasons, 27-year-old Nichalas Hill crossed over the double yellow lines on a curve. Traveling at a high rate of speed, his BMW 335i entered the southbound lane, colliding with a Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV, driven by 61-year-old Kevin Suchoza, of Rancho Cucamonga.
 
Despite efforts to turn to the right, Suchoza ended up crashing into Hill in a head-on fashion.
 
Minutes later, paramedics arrived and found Suchoza and his 63-year-old wife, Yolanda Suchoza, pinned inside the wreckage. Emergency personnel took Kevin Suchoza to French Hospital Medical Center in San Luis Obispo and his wife to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo.
 
A passenger inside Hill’s vehicle sought care at Sierra Vista with major injuries. Meanwhile, Hill suffered minor injuries and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI. Authorities have him booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail.
