3 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident on 118 Freeway [Porter Ranch, CA]

Traffic Blocked after Multi-Vehicle Accident on 118 Freeway near Tampa Avenue

 
PORTER RANCH, CA (June 7, 2021) – Three people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle accident on 118 Freeway, Thursday evening.
 
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident happened on June 3, at about 10:52 p.m. For reasons under investigation, four vehicles collided near the area of Tampa Avenue and Rinaldi Street.
 
Emergency crews transported two victims to a hospital for treatment of moderate to serious injuries. Meanwhile, the third victim declined hospitalization. Authorities did not release the names of the victims.
 
Responders shut down affected lanes to make way for clearing operations and an investigation. Tow trucks also arrived to load severely damaged vehicles.
 
Officers continue to investigate the cause of the accident. LAFD will release additional information once it becomes available.
