Head-On Accident on Highway 33 in Oak View Leaves 3 People Injured

 
OAK VIEW, CA (March 22, 2022) – Three people were injured in a head-on accident on Highway 33 in Oak View on Friday evening.
 
The accident happened just after 8:00 p.m. on March 18 near Encino Drive. According to the Ventura County Fire Department, a white pickup truck with two people inside was traveling northbound on the highway when the male driver crossed the double-yellow lines and collided head-on with a southbound Toyota Prius, also carrying two people.
 
A blue Subaru heading southbound, also with two people inside, was traveling behind the Prius. The driver of the Subaru was unable to stop in time and also hit the Prius.
 
As a result of the crash, the driver of the pickup truck suffered severe injuries. Paramedics took him to Ventura County Medical Center in critical condition.
 
Two other patients had complaints of pain, one with moderate injuries while the other had minor.
