5 Hospitalized after Santa Ana Car Accident on Lyon Street near Edinger Avenue

 
SANTA ANA, CA (September 23, 2021) – Five people sustained serious injuries following a two-vehicle accident on Lyon Street, Sunday evening.
 
According to the Orange County Fire Authority, the incident happened on September 19 at about 8:30 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, an SUV and a pickup truck collided at the intersection of South Lyon Street and East Edinger Avenue.
 
OCFA declared the scene of the crash a Multi-Casualty Incident to make way for additional reinforcements.
 
Paramedics transported three adults and two children to trauma centers for treatment of serious injuries. Authorities did not release updates on the victims’ conditions.
 
As per reports, both the SUV and the pickup sustained severe damages.
 
OCFA continues to investigate the cause of the accident.
